Collect and ship out samples making sure they were up to specifications and standards. Transload products off of railcars to trucks. Purchase supplies and new products. Oversee day-to-day transloading operations, ensuring timely and accurate cargo handling, storage, and shipment. Develop and implement efficient workflows, operating procedures, and safety protocols. Coordinate scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, vendors, and customers. Supervise, train, and support staff, forklift operators, and other team members. Monitor inventory levels, equipment usage, and material flow to optimize productivity. Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety standards. Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Analyze performance data and prepare reports for upper management. Manage budgets, equipment maintenance, and cost control initiatives. Identify opportunities for operational improvement and cost savings. Train new employees on all processes and procedures.

Coordinate train operations including switching, assembling/disassembling trains, and picking up or setting out railcars. Ensure compliance with all railroad rules, regulations, and safety procedures as established by BNSF, the FRA (Federal Railroad Administration), and other regulatory bodies. Operate track switches, inspect cars, and perform air brake tests. Communicate clearly and effectively with locomotive engineers, dispatchers, yardmasters, and other team members using radios and hand signals. Observe, interpret, and relay signals to ensure safe train movement. Maintain accurate documentation of train movements and operational changes. Perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions, day or night, including walking long distances on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects. Inspected track for obstructions or defects that could impact safe operation of the train. Conducted safety inspections of train equipment prior to each trip.
