Overseeing all things wireless charging, USB-C, and Find My; from ideation, through rapid prototyping and iteration, to quoting and developing with overseas partners. Working to bring the Nomad electronics product lineup into 2026 and beyond, providing customers with modern, elegant products that complement and enhance their everyday carry. Responsible for global compliance and product-side ERP management.

Worked to plan, execute, and streamline a core business effort and design project with the US Navy, coordinating engineering, industrial design, and supply chain personnel and resources within a small core team. Additionally, I developed an internal set of processes and standards, including a SKU database and standard operating procedures for creating, tracking, and archiving deliverables and learnings. In between these roles, I'm learning how to use Adobe InDesign as I create and update visual resources for internal and external reports and marketing efforts.

Worked with multiple professors to coordinate activities and align standards across class sections while engaging with students. Helped run digital courses and ensured that all participants were engaged and progressing through the class appropriately.

Worked closely with a team of my peers to analyze challenges in a local biotech company's new product development program and provide recommendations to its executive team on potential solutions, based on extensive interviews (both internal and external) and working sessions with specific teams within the organization. Created a retrospective process to increase the rate and quality of learning across cross-functional teams, and integrated this with their existing corporate platforms. Presented as my thesis project for the Masters of Technology Management program.

A natural progression from my engineering senior project, Thermaform Technologies is continuing development of novel compression therapy. I manage product design and operations while I am learning about marketing and financial strategy from mentors and my coworkers. This has consumed all my discretionary time (plus some!) for the last ten months and we’re going strong. We have conceived, designed, and tested multiple prototypes of socks using a novel compression method leading to dramatically increased patient compliance. We have (provisionally) patented our technology. We analyzed customer influencer needs, market size, distribution channels, and pricing to build business model and compete in UCSB’s New Venture Competition winning the Best-in-Fair and People’s Choice awards. With newfound time at home this summer, I decided to branch out and take on a design project through UCSB to rework the website for Virginia Oaks Apartments, a low-income housing community in Texas. I was selected as team lead and communicated with community mentors to ensure that this experience was educational for us while exceeding the needs of our sponsor. Through interviews, surveys, and card-sorting tasks, we collaboratively developed a more accessible and visually pleasing website. #uxresearch #uxdesign #uidesign #webdesign

In looking to apply myself outside of the classroom, I found the opportunity to work with drones doing oceanography research with Professor Libe Washburn in the Marine Science department. In my 18 months working in this lab, I worked on redesigning drone-deployed instruments and documented the build process of an autonomous boogie board for other researchers to use. I designed, built, and tested equipment for marine science research using Solidworks, including a drone-deployed water-sampler and a signal generator for calibrating marine radar. I worked to waterproof existing and future parts; using iterative design, I improved the end-user experience for a variety of research projects and field tools. I spent my summers growing up as a sailing coach, giving back to a program that taught me so much. I developed student learning plans for a variety of courses and organized schedules for students and staff. In my final summer, I was the head instructor for the Learn to Sail program, working with sailors as young as 7 to teach them the fundamentals and get them comfortable on the water.
