I advise business owners on succession planning through an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), an incredible tool that allows business owners to successfully exit their businesses while empowering their employees through employee ownership. I provide counsel to my clients through negotiating ESOP transaction matters and advising on ESOP administration issues. I began my career as a corporate transactional lawyer, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity fund compliance and formation, venture financing, and marketplace/P2P lending. My professional experience also includes advising nonprofit, charitable, and other tax-exempt organizations and social enterprises on tax, acquisition, and governance matters. Outside of work, my interests include alleviating poverty and improving the welfare of children through education reform and economic empowerment.
