I developed the Azure SQL data model and Power BI dashboards (CEO, board & team views) that managed store status, rent and occupancy during Covid-19. To date this saved Gap Inc. $341M in rent obligations and abatement, plus $124M in strategic store closures. This system tracked the tactical resolution of 2,025 default notices and 91 lawsuits. I received competitive “Game Changer” and “Exceed” monetary awards from senior leadership. I directed the data engineering, analytics, and architecture of cloud migrations using Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, and a Databricks Data Lakehouse. With this infrastructure I developed the Store Profile Tool in Power BI that drives the market planning process, informing the strategy for Gap Inc’s fleet of existing and potential new stores. This dense business critical report acts like Facebook, bringing together a wide variety of data like profit and loss, store and fleet metrics, customer, and GIS data, omni sales, etc. Through data modelling, transformations and filtering I harnessed performance across millions of records and multiple data sources. On the reporting side, I created custom matrix tables with switch calculations and formatting functions to summarize the information in a clear way for business teams to present for CFO approval at a rapid rate. I built ad-hoc solutions rapidly in Smartsheet to cover business needs that were lacking in enterprise systems. Some examples, PMO portfolio and risk mgmt., vendor scoring, store remodel programs. Leveraged an intelligent design of apps, forms, dashboards, reports, and master data sheets linked to enterprise data sources through a bi-direction data shuttle. This integrated design enabled easy maintenance with scheduled data refreshes, security and visibility controls based on identity, formula-based logic and workflows, and Power BI Dashboards, like Capital Pipeline Health, used in weekly pipeline execution calls and to report pipeline health to sr leadership.

Drove product lifecycle projects involving process, software, data systems and reporting to rein in cost, increase quality, reduce cycle time & create a collaborative culture. In short time I ascertained the missing components of a robust & efficient end to end product lifecycle system by conducting expert interviews, root cause diagramming, and data analytics. I spearheaded the creation of the new product introduction supply chain group to define Maxim Integrated’s product lifecycle management program utilizing the best-in-class SAP PLM functionality to migrate decades of legacy systems and manual processes into a future vision. Led the effort to automate the project management of 69,000 part numbers through a phased gate approach where deliverables, people, costs, planning assumptions, customer visibility/order-ability, documentation and master data were all captured and synchronized in the ERP engine. Significantly improved time to market (1.5 month reduction), quality (lower defect and return rate) and on-time delivery (72%->95%) with real time reporting in Tableau.

Oversaw worldwide test capacity expansion to meet the forecasted demands & performed statistical load balancing to accommodate surprises in backlog. This included presentations to the COO to approve multi-million-dollar equipment based on a high revenue to capital ratio. Nanosolar is a startup thin film CIGs solar panel manufacturer with a roadmap to achieve a less than $1/Watt high volume production utilizing printing & sputtering on aluminum roll to roll substrate. * Evolved an Excel based MRP system to a full featured Oracle 11g MRP system * Designed and successfully deployed a new RFID system for efficient logistical handling of all products, cells & panels in reusable Cell Carriers & Crates. Full end to end product supply chain tractability. * Planned & oversaw Nanosolar’s production schedules to meet the company’s engineering objectives and customer commitments. Accuracy and functionality of the system crucial for government audit purposes. 350,000+ sqft warehouse with many hazards and metal RFID interference, creative design with active tags on material and readers on narrow isle forklifts and 3d wide area readers on the ceiling. Development of an easy to use gui for configuring the readers, analyzing inventory levels, and searchable inventory list with data like location, shelf life, qty, usage rate, etc.
