Clan Connect was formed to establish a voice for Simon Fraser University young/recent athletics alumni. The group was formed by recent SFU athletics alumni to help keep our alumni active and engaged. We provide a platform and create opportunities for SFU Athletics Alumni to stay connected and grow relationships through a common bond.

As a Board of Director for the alumni association, I have a duty to serve the SFU alumni network of more than 120,000 graduates. Nominated and elected by my fellow alumni, I have made a commitment to serve on the Board of Directors. I serve as a member on the Finance and Governance sub committees. Recently I was elected to represent the Alumni Association Board and serve on the Simon Fraser University Board of Governors Responsible Investment Committee.

We use a variety of finance solutions to connect angels, venture capital and regular investors with early-stage private companies. Under applicable provincial securities law and government incentives, we address the primary concern in the venture space — access to capital.

The largest spring tip off basketball tournament offered to high school basketball players across Western Canada. Since its inception in 2006, I have grown this tournament from 6 teams up to 134 teams in 2017.

The HKCBA is a non-government, non-profit bilateral trade association with over 1,300 members in eight cities in Canada. Headquartered in Vancouver, it is one of the largest bilateral trade associations in Canada. Our mission is to help Canadian companies expand their business to Asia through Hong Kong and Asian companies expand their business in Canada. In addition, we facilitate a network for professionals and entrepreneurs to connect and develop high-level business relationships at HKCBA events throughout the year.

Whisky Wisemen is a not-for-profit organization in Vancouver founded to grow an inspiring community of change makers aspiring to #dogood and #bebetter. Since January 2013, we've hosted monthly #socialwhisky events on the third Thursday of every month. The first glass is on the house, and after that, 10% of each bill goes towards a designated charity. I served as the board member responsible for the oversight of governance and chapter expansion.
