In June I completed a project with my wife that we have both dreamed about since we met in 1987. We both wanted to buy property in the mountains and build a log home from the ground up. In June, 2017 we embarked on this adventure and after many learning experiences, we are finally finished and enjoying life in our new home in Maggie Valley, NC. Now I'm turning to my previous passion... web site and application development. I've worked 18 years in Verizon's corporate security organization with some great people. My experience with Verizon involved the development and support of large-scale web and desktop applications using a variety of technologies that included: C#, ColdFusion, Drupal, Javascript, CSS, Java, MS SQL and Oracle. I was also very much involved in the software development life cycle focusing primarily on the Agile methodology. I believe that both construction and software development require the same problem solving skills that can lead to some unexpected solutions.
