Leading the Priority Development Areas (PDA) project for Council. The PDA is part of a significant policy position of Council and requires work within the Redlands political and institutional environment to implement “Redlands - Open for Business” platform. Leading the Cleveland Centre Master Plan, coordinate and stimulate key catalyst sites to allow development and business attraction and to allow centre revitalisation. Leading Council’s investigations of landholdings in the CBD and PDAs to cement Council’s role in revitalising the CBD.

Network Corridor Program Manager, 9/2011 to 5/2012 Managed town planning and environmental approval functions, overseeing a $15M capital works budget and 11-member team. Overall responsibility for the delivery of powerline corridors ready for construction with necessary town planning approvals. Initiation of business cases and implementation plans, forward estimating of project costs and resources, coordination of development approvals, coordinate easement acquisition, coordination of effective stakeholder engagement.

Developed city planning, traffic and transport planning, infrastructure, and open space environment and community planning programs for a variety of government and industry clients. Used an integrated approach to create balanced outcomes, balancing the ever demanding land use infrastructure issues with monetary constraints surrounding urban growth for clients.

* Oversight of major regional planning and environment documents and reports. *  Earned commendations from the Planning Institute of Australia for regional planning communication deliverables that targeted desired planning and environmental outcomes for the region and articulated these values in the SEQ Regional Plan. *  Served as the Senior Regional Planner on regional research and successful policy development. *  Managed the process of working collaboratively with local and state government agencies to identify their requirements for the SEQ Regional Plan.

Support the Council of Mayors (SEQ) as a political advocacy organisation which represents the interests of those living in South East Queensland and proactively influences the Australian and Queensland Governments to ensure the long-term viability, wellbeing, and sustainability of SEQ communities. Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the Council of Mayors (SEQ) Infrastructure and Planning portfolio. Improve the economic positioning of participating local and regional councils by assisting the advancement of infrastructure priorities and planning related matters within the region. Manage the coordination and engagement in relation to the SEQ Regional Plan, the State Infrastructure Plan, State Government Planning Reform Agenda and oversee the completion of any projects funded by the State, federal and/or Local Government.

Obtained a Graduate Diploma in Planning Prepared a dissertation on "Land release strategies", demonstrating ways of taking population growth into consideration , coupled with available, unconstrained land, to predict housing requirements and identify suitable land.

Obtained a Bachelor of Science Majored in Resource Planning.

One year study leave from the then current employer of NSW Department of Planning. Obtained Masters of Science Degree (Planning) Major in Growth Management Prepared a dissertation on the Effect of Restraint Policy on Labour Migration looking at the effect of Urban Growth Boundary on house prices and whether that deters people moving for employment reasons. (due to higher housing costs).
