These systems provides electricity, water and sewerage services to 38000 consumers across 72 major and minor communities and over 60 outstations across the Northern Territory. Remote Operations has around 100 staff and manages day to day operations through panel contractors and locally-based Essential Services Operations (employed via local councils, Aboriginal enterprises and private contractors) of which 40% are Aboriginal.
