Scott Young

As a third generation farmer starting in the industry through a farm apprenticeship, I was taught and practiced the traditional process and beliefs of the previous generation of farming. When I was handed the reins of my family farm is when I began networking and looking at the industry beyond the thought of “this is the way we have always done it”. Through field days, participating in field trials, forming partnerships with other progressive farmers in the local district my passion for soil health, sheep husbandry and issues affecting farming has really increased. I now view my farm as a business and am constantly challenging our processes, practices and technology to seek improvement to get more from what I do. I am a founding member of Farming Moorabool, I have been elected to positions within the VFF and SPA
