Executive leader responsible for providing services and resources to engineering and programs as needed to support the South Carolina Ground Combat Vehicle Assembly and Integration Center of Excellence for new product development, prototype assembly, and new product qualifications, with a primary focus on medium and heavy combat vehicle systems.

Strategic leader responsible for and experienced in the areas of program management, engineering, manufacturing (fabrication and assembly), supply chain & logistics, and continuous improvement to drive sustainable results. Responsible for the direct management of both technical and non-technical staff. Essential duties include: organizing engineering and manufacturing projects and programs, assigning direct and indirect taskings; managing the team’s workloads, and selecting individuals most qualified for specific efforts. Resolving any issues escalated through Program Managers and responsible for the employment, training, motivation and discipline of assigned employees. Oversees/manages the controllable budget of the business. Contributing to and implementing approved strategic plans. Developing, improving, and implementing PMO processes. Participating with proposal response development, team coordination, and quality/verification/validation of proposal submissions.

Responsible for all aspects of program performance in support of Marine Corps Installations-East (MCIEAST). Support to this command includes advisory and assistance services (A&AS) program support in executing nearly $4B of on-going and future Military Construction (MILCON) and Facilities Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects across the MCIEAST commands. Responsible for hiring and leading a specialized technical team consisting of 25 degreed engineers and technical subject matter experts. Serves as the primary technical and managerial interface between the company and the Contracting Officer and provides overall direction for all program level activities and personnel. Programmatic activities include: MILCON and FSRM project planning & development, asset management, and program support operations. Directs the business planning efforts for various contract programs and prepares/oversees the development of proposals in response to customer requests and company pursuits.

Responsible for leading manufacturing and process development of amphibious vehicle designs from concept to mass production and applying Advanced Manufacturing and Lean strategies to create processes, tools, procedures, and culture in order to bring products to new levels of quality, reliability and value. Primary duties and responsibilities include: strong engineering and managerial experience with specific expertise in manufacturing process development and continuous improvement. In collaboration with cross-functional team members from across the program (Design Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Information Technology, Customer Experience, etc.) led the development of processes, controls, and standards for design/development, configuration management, fabrication, welding, fastening, and assembly. Also responsible for improving ergonomics, safety, efficiency, and uptime improvements.

Responsible for leading a team (matrix organization) to define and launch vehicle-related programs, to include developing strategic plans to ensure these programs align with company goals and objectives. Serve as the internal and external expert for vehicle programs, frequently working with the sales channel and key customers, in developing, monitoring, and controlling the scope, budget, and schedule for all vehicle programs. Serve as a member on the company’s Leadership Team.

Serves as the principle customer advocate within FPII for all contracted work and is responsible for delivering all requirements within prescribed budget limits. Primary responsibilities include: proposal development (requirements, plan, BOEs, pricing support); technical, schedule, and quality performance on assigned programs; financial performance (cost performance, negotiated gross profit/loss); formal customer communications (IPR, MRB, PQDR, CAR, etc.); leading the Integrated Program Team (directing work of assigned team members); developing new business and expanding the product line (keep the program sold), assuring adherence to policy and DoD guidance (FAR, DFAR, ITAR); supporting the growth and development of assigned PMs and APMs; and risk management across all facets of the business.

Coordinates/monitors the scheduling, pricing and technical performance of development and manufacturing programs; responsible for participating in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes for private and governmental customers; coordinates proposal preparation including the plans, specifications and financial conditions of the contracts; develops new business and expands the product line; ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, resolves program concerns and coordinates/directs the work of colleagues from various departments who are assigned to program development; ensures projects are completed on time and within budget and acts as advisor to the team regarding projects, tasks and operations.

Responsible for project development, design, construction, maintenance, and quality assurance/quality control for remote facilities throughout Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom; managed a Captain and Sergeant First Class.

Coordinates/monitors the scheduling, pricing and technical performance of development and manufacturing programs; responsible for participating in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes for private and governmental customers; coordinates proposal preparation including the plans, specifications and financial conditions of the contracts; develops new business and expands the product line; ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, resolves program concerns and coordinates/directs the work of colleagues from various departments who are assigned to program development; ensures projects are completed on time and within budget and acts as advisor to the team regarding projects, tasks and operations.

Coordinates/monitors the scheduling, pricing and technical performance of assigned programs in conjunction with the supported Program Managers (PMs); coordinates proposal preparation; assists in the negotiation of contracts; manages customer communications; monitors adherence to plans/schedules; coordinates the work of colleagues from various departments; ensures current program information/status is communicated appropriately; predominately responsible for execution of the Receive Customer Requirements, Manage Communications and Create Customer Proposal processes.

Responsible for managing all aspects of customer vehicle program launch, through Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), from design concept through production launch for a line of fuel delivery modules and pumps for DaimlerChrysler; coordinates involvement with the customer’s platform/program management groups; manages launch activity by developing internal timing and milestones to coincide with the customer’s key events; ensures successful implementation of the program screening and CapEx procedures.

Responsible for all program activity and customer satisfaction for a line of blow-molded plastic fuel tanks, windshield washer reservoirs and coolant reservoirs for both DaimlerChrysler and Mitsubishi; champion of the Advanced Product Quality Planning process; develops internal timing and milestones to coincide with the customer’s key events; coordinates appropriate support for customer build events; initiates the quotation process; approves all program expenditures and ensures that the program is within budget.

Led design, development, and prototype activities for assigned programs; ensured all designs met the customer’s expectations and were produced efficiently at planned production volumes; procured tooling and components for all products.
