Reporting to the Head of Safety, the Manager Safety Assurance and Audit Programs plays a key role in ensuring the continued operational safety of Jetstar Airways, by working with management to improve safety and security management systems. The Manager Safety Assurance and Audit Programs is responsible for the development and delivery of the annual safety and quality audit program, the review of audit program results and areas of high risk, and the provision of guidance to line management on issues of safety, quality, risk, quality and dangerous goods management. Accountabilities included the development, implementation and management of an annual risk-focused Corporate Audit Program across Jetstar to agreed company standards and regulatory requirements, encompassing safety, security, risk, quality and compliance management systems models. These requirements include Safety Management Systems disciplines of draft aviation legislation CASR 119, Quality Management Systems Standard ISO 9001, Compliance Management Standard ISO31000, Qantas Group QMS and IATA IOSA Standards.
