Scott Beyer

Improving training, training programs, and assessments leading to better real-world performance by students and companies has been my professional story. I began career in teaching. I worked with a dedicated team to build an alternative-learning high school from the ground up. We developed parent/guardian compacts with the school, innovative curriculum, delivery, and assessments. I lead the successful North Central Accreditation process. I served as curriculum and technology chair for both the school and the district. Along the way I mentored several new teachers and served as the staff liaison for hiring new staff. The school has now been successful for over 25 years. I moved on to corporate hiring and training under contract with General Motors and then to a franchise of Rent-A-Center. A partial list of accomplishments are below. * Won RimTyme New Store Award for growth in first 12 months of operation with over $1,000,000 in sales * Developed and implemented FMLA Job Descriptions * Developed and implemented corporate training and evaluation tools meeting ALT requirements for divisions of Rent-A-Center and General Motors * Implemented procedures and practices to ensure corporate compliance with applicable law * Successfully lead regional accreditation of public high school for at-risk students * Successfully developed and implemented goals for State of Michigan school improvement plan * Co-chaired public school course development committee * Mentored probationary teachers * Worked with team to successfully design and implement an At-Risk High School
