My current job role is working with proven technologies such as IoT, LoraWAN, gateways and sensors via TTN and presenting that data onto platforms so people can be notified automatically and other people can review identify trends. Other technologies that I am working include robot process automation, APIs, data transfers, printers and MFDs and room booking systems. I have implemented and am always evolving a community accessible LoraWAN IoT network available via TTN & TTI. We have hundreds of sensors monitoring CO2, temperature and humidity, sensors monitoring soil moisture, parking spaces, rainfall, river levels and bin levels. What I learn I advocate to other organisations here in North Wales. There is no point the knowledge and experience gained staying with me! LoraWAN and its opportunities are exciting! My current job role is a bit of an evolution and historically I have worked with server and infrastructure. A wide ranging history in delivering services from departments and external organisations as diverse as Social Services, Finance, Theatres and transport. I have a proven track record of designing and implementing server and storage requirements across large organisations from large data centres to remote, very rural, bandwidth constrained sites. Specialties: Certifications: Vmware - VCP3, 4, 5 & 6. Microsoft - MCTS - Windows Configuration Microsoft - MSTS - Windows Server Administrator Technical Experience Design and maintenance of DFS over a variety of bandwidths Maintenance and configuration of SANs along with site to site data replication to assist with DR capabilities. Everyday backup routines using Netbackp using disk staging then de-staging to tape.

A new role to help the Authority work on strategic projects and initiatives. Large projects to get systems that don't "talk to each other" to get them talking and communicating - thus improving the citizen experience and driving towards an aim of a golden record. A large project with a huge amount to gain. Working with the local Health Board to allow sharing of technology and applications - to prevent duplication. For example, CCBC can allow all BCUHB staff who request it to have access to CCBC's printer estate. This allows them to print, copy and scan without having to go back to their own office spaces or in areas where sites are shared, prevents duplication in printer ownership within the public sector - which in turn saves money for the taxpayer. Also working on new technology with other public (Councils and Health), private (Power Generation and farms) and third sector partners (charities) located in North Wales to use new technology such as LoraWAN and identifying use cases, funding and improving coverage within the County area.
