Assistant Project Manager
San Diego, California, United States
Joining UBG in June 2023 up to my 1 year anniversary, I have assumed the role of Assistant Project Manager. I have provided support to my Senior PM on 6 multi-million dollar projects. I have also taken the lead PM role for 14 separate projects totaling over $5.5 million in combined value. I have a proven track record of closing projects I have taken the lead on within projected budgets and with zero accidents or mishaps to date. While performing my duties related to my roles, I have taken multiple opportunities to go above and beyond expectations. I have accomplished feats that have led to both added value and time saved for UBG. The following are some of the accomplishments I have achieved during my first year of employment at UBG: 1. Negotiated a partnership deal between 2 unaffiliated subcontractors (Engineer & Architect) under UBG that led to $10k-$17k savings for UBG, while also providing value to the 2 subs involved. 2. Created an Excel tool that streamlines comparing incoming invoices to the quoted costs for materials and services. This tool simultaneously performs 2 functions. 2.a. Highlights when individual items are above or below their quoted costs. 2.b. Compares the estimated cost of the invoice if the quote had been properly applied by the vendor, to the actual cost of the invoice as is, and highlights whether the invoice as a whole has come in above or below what the projected cost would have been. 3. Created an Excel tool that turns the budgets created by the estimator's takeoff into a Schedule of Values for any project. I created 2 versions of this excel tool. A simplified version for small projects that are not broken out into multiple locations, and a more complex version that allows for budgets to be broken out into up to 20 separate locations. Creating long-term solutions, streamline processes, and develop simple tools that solve complex problems is my passion. UBG has been a great experience and I'm grateful to be part of the team.
