Leads and establishes the direction for a diverse range of highly complex activities associated with the supply chain organizations of the Irvine OSD and Rochester Injectable Sites. Supports the development of manufacturing processes and transfer of new products into production. Champions CIP (Continuous Improvement Projects) and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to optimize product quality and cost for the corporation. Exercises considerable latitude in determining innovative solutions and setting strategic direction of the Supply Chain groups.

With global headquarters in Parsippany, New Jersey, USA, the company is engaged in the development, manufacture, marketing and distribution of generic pharmaceuticals in a number of therapeutic categories and specialized branded pharmaceutical products that are focused on Urology and Women’s Health Led production coordination of Watson Florida billion dollar SDU Site and key liaison initiatives between Corporate Marketing / Sales department and Florida Site. Directed and organized all aspects of supply chain and logistics operations for full array of over 100 SKU’s. • Established highly reliable process and system to convey / follow-up forecast / inventory position between Corporate Marketing / Sales / Finance and Florida Site department heads. • Implemented an information system to covey priorities throughout all levels of the organization. • Led implementation of system for KPI and Continuous Improvement indicators to department.

Led production, technical support and balance for two Oral Dosage Plants, total staff of 190 people. Manufacturing/ Engineering coordination for two sites, plus operational / capital budgets for four departments of $12M year. • Monitored, evaluated and adjusted FTE levels to optimize resource distribution. • Developed Manufacturing Standards based Operational Goals and KPI’s that enhanced the accuracy of future resource requirements. • Key member of team implementing plant-wide MRP II Shop Floor Control Program. • Led successful Technical Continuous Improvement Teams implementation increased manufacturing reliability 3X (Manufacturing Reliability Team, Cleaning Team, and Set-up Reliability Team). • Successfully introduced new State of the Art Technology to manufacture new products with support of Product Development and Engineering. • Significantly reduced inventory write-offs to implement First Response, Kaizen and Root Cause Analysis teams to complex manufacturing processes and quality investigations with support of Quality Assurance. • Named 2006 Safety Leader of the Year.

Led production/maintenance coordination of Oral Dosage Pharmaceutical Processes and Products, total staff of 33 people for manufacturing production site. Achieved all budget goals, operational & capital. • Successfully transferred product to outside manufacturer, increasing capacity for new line. • Obtained approval and led design / build of New Manufacturing Site with $30M Capital Budget. • Introduced and implemented Lean Manufacturing Concepts to the Mfg Organization.

Led production coordination of Compression and Encapsulation. Directed U.S. annual manufacturing of 600 million tablets and capsules. All planning and organizing for existing and new products. Member of team implementing plant-wide MRP II Shop Floor Control Program. • Implemented standards-based key performance indicators to efficiently manage labor. • Increased department throughput two-fold to campaign planning and SMED set-up. • Implemented continuous improvement and Kaizen programs to labor / material indicator review. • Developed a preventive maintenance/documentation program for process equipment of Granulation, Compression, Encapsulation and Coating Departments.

Led maintenance for five building Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Complex. Organized and managed maintenance department. Prepared for and passed first FDA inspection. Leader for construction of Solid Dosage Manufacturing Complex. Detail design and construction for HVAC, Utilities, Controls, Electrical, Safety / Security systems, Capital Investment of $20M
