Almajdouie Logistic Company (MLC), is a part of of Al-Majdouie group which is one the of biggest conglomerates in KSA. during my training period, I was assigned to different roles within the accounting department of the company including account payable, account receivable, cash management, and general ledger sections. As for the first two months, most of my tasks was completed using Oracle application in which I worked within AP section to handle data entry of invoices, petty cash, suppliers reconciliation, preparing aging reports by exporting and reporting data of suppliers of each period from the Oracle to Excel sheets as well as ensuring all due amounts are reported to my supervisor. Moreover, I performed several tasks with in the AR section which includes handling receipts, transactions, customer reconciliation along with reporting to the collection team of cash receipts of each period. Also, I have become more familiar with Oracle and I have been closing issued invoices by MLC by receipts' amount. After that, I have learned the importance of bank reconciliation where MLC should reconcile the bank statement with the Oracle to account for each amount paid, or received. After six month in dealing with the transaction side of the business, I worked with the GL section and learned the applied aspect of the accounting cycle and I handled several tasks such as, account reconciliation, adjusting entries, reporting and analysis. it was much of great help ti conclude my training in the GL section where I have became more aware of the business operation and I assisted in preparing income statement and balance sheet which is to one of the greatest challenge I faced so far due to complexity of some parts of the operations, and the number of items is large, yet I have successfully been able to assist in the process and I gained a lot of knowledge i in the process. the training has equipped me with strong accounting foundation to help further in my career.
