The National Captioning Institute (NCI), is a non-profit corp. that provides closed captioning, voice writing, and descriptive media under the ADA. My role started as a caption technician and was quickly promoted to lead scheduler of the real-time scheduling dept. My responsibilities entailed scheduling real-time captioners and voice writers to cover live engagements and over 200 hours of live television programming daily based on transcription abilities.

Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and distribution of state vehicles, classroom space, event space, and updated internal reservation systems for SCHEV facility utilization reports. Reported to the Vice President of Financial and Administrative services and supported several areas of the college both on-site and satellite campuses including Middletown, Luray, and Fauquier locations. Assisted with capital outlay projects and proposed operational strategies to deliver facility management support for learning, development, faculty, staff, and students on a daily basis.

Research assistant for the Technology and General Security Services Division. Provided administrative support for the Deputy and Chief Security Officers (CSO) and conducted political research in relation to Fund Offices located in high threat level countries and processed security clearances for traveling employees. Maintained communication with the UNESCO on a daily basis and updated the internal PeopleSoft site, IJET applications, along with maintaining the internal database for travel warnings, updates, and emergency messages.
