Photography is my life and it consumes me. It is my passion. Ask anyone that knows me and I always have a camera attached to my side. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Photojournalism and a minor in Political Science. After college, I moved to Houston and worked for a wedding/portrait photographer for two years. I moved to California for five years and put photography on hold to find a "real job," but I was never truly happy. I recently relocated back to Houston and have fallen head first into making my photography business happen because it is the only job where I can say it’s not just a job, its my dream job! Specialties: photoshop, engagements, wedding, pets, family portraits, maternity portraits and anything in between.

I am the owner and main photographer of Sarah Austin Photography. I specialize in weddings, children, family portraits, head shots, special events, etc. My equipment includes a Nikon D300, Nikon SB800 Flash, 70-200mm lens and 50mm lens. I use Adobe Lightroom to edit my pictures which ensures I send out a quality product to my client. I work with a lab in town (TX Photographics) for certain print jobs or the labs through my Smugmug ordering website do a wonderful job.

Temple Webber gave me my first job straight out of college. I worked with him for 2 years and then took a hiatus to California for about 5 years. Upon my return, he took me back immediately and it was like we had not skipped a beat. I am his assistant photographer helping him shoot mainly weddings. I do occasional events or portraits when he is unable to work them himself.

Besides working on the events at Neuhaus, I also do alot of Marketing. I help produce all of the holiday cards, newsletter, eNewsletter, class schedule, eMarketing including Constant Contact, Social Media, company website and in-house photography.
