Innovative biomedical research scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology. Efficient time management skills leading to successful data analysis, delivery of results and acquisition of multiple grants in neurodegeneration and related fields. Expert in multi-tasking, problem-solving, critical thinking and outstanding technical skills including, but not limited to isolation of primary CNS cells (e.g. neurons, microglia (the immune cells of the brain)), Next Generation Sequencing, (NGS) multiplex RNA/protein analysis, immunoassays, immunofluorescence staining, confocal imaging, and development of cellular assays for drug discovery research and to evaluate mechanism of action. Independent and highly self-motivated with unique combination of strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills, proficient in fostering productive collaborations and proven ability to meet tight deadlines by working in a fast-paced environment leading to the successful training of over 25 students and other lab members at different levels.
