Sarah Petty

I am co-owner of J Petty Motors, an independent garage in Goole, East Yorkshire. The garage has been owned by the Petty family for over 65 years and has always been a prominent place in Goole since its establishment in 1958. Personally, I have been involved with the business since 2010, and in 2023 I became a partner alongside my husband Stuart and his father Keith helping to keep the garage run for over 3 generations and to bring it forward into a more modern era. Having entered the automotive industry with very little experience or knowledge I am proud to say that over the years I have developed and expanded my interpersonal skills and taken on many specialist training programs to gain a better understanding of running a business within the motor trade. Securing nationally recognised networks and brands such as 1 Tec Auto Hub, Autodata, Garage Hive, Payment Assist and Service Split means my team always have access to the latest technology and customers can rely on professionally supported services with the motor industries leading brands and suppliers. The motor trade is always evolving and I aid to bring my team of staff and wonderful customers the very best the industry can offer. Offering development & training courses and new qualifications with the LKQ Academy and other leading automotive networks. I have a “can do”, positive attitude. I’m ambitious and focused on continuous development for myself and for my team and love to connect with like minded automotive professionals, securing relationships to ensure my team and my customers always receive the best service.
