I'm a puddle on the floor to be able to be doing what I love -- creating! Capturing precious moments for couples and families. Creating gorgeous artwork to decorate their homes and pass down for generations. Giving them goosebumps every day. Being a boutique portrait photographer brings together so many of my passions -- people, storytelling, photography, print and interior design. I've had a camera in my hands since I graduated college in 2008. I started off as a newspaper reporter and photographer and created Sarah Lang Photography on the side, photographing families, weddings, high school seniors, newly engaged couples. This continued as a side business through the years, as I transitioned from writing and reporting to print marketing. At PERQ Publications, I worked for several years helping guide people in their print needs. I learned about paper weights, coating types, commercial print machines, printing inks and troubleshooted endless issues with graphic design and design programs. I worked hard to put beautiful magazines and printed products in people's hands. My belief in the power of print only grew. I took a year off of corporate work to do some soul searching. I took a temporary job as program administrator for a great local non-profit called Growing Places Indy. During this time, it finally struck me -- my photography business should be my full-time career. I can bring together what I love about people and storytelling from my reporter days, what I love about print from my PERQ days, what's always been a passion of mine in interior design, and what I love about photography and art to serve my clients in the best way possible as a boutique photographer. I take my clients by the hand and walk them through the whole process, from initial consultation to the end result, beautiful wall art or albums that they can cherish forever. I love thrilling my clients!
