Believing that everyone has a right to safe, clean and affordable housing, Deborah's Place has been breaking the cycle of homelessness for women in Chicago since 1985. Originally a volunteer-run emergency overnight shelter, today we are Chicago's largest provider of supportive housing for women. The mission of Deborah's Place is to open doors of opportunity for women who are homeless in Chicago. Supportive housing and services offer women their key to healing, achieving their goals and moving on from the experience of homelessnessDeborah's Place is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Welcoming 85 incoming freshmen and transfer students throughout the course of 12 programs to the university, facilitating small group discussions and providing a new, friendly, connected community into which the students will enter - Developed problem solving abilities, effective communication skills, and knowledge of leadership through staff and professional development, service experiences, and over 60 hours of training

Serving as the Activism Chairperson for the Students for Life group for the 2015-'16 school year coordinating programs and activities to engage in dignified dialogue and to bring awareness to the Loyola community about pro-life issues - Working as an Orientation Leader for three months under the Office of First Year Experience to welcome incoming freshmen and transfer students to the university throughout a number of programs and small group discussions - Volunteering as a community service leader since the spring of 2014 through Loyola4Chicago, leading a small group of students to various sites within the surrounding Rogers Park/Edgewater communities to engage in service and reflection Activities and Societies: Loyola Students for Life, Campus Ministry, Orientation Leader, Loyola4Chicago
