I covered the French economy, the eurozone crisis and lots more, including President Hollande's election and new administration, the Merah terrorist attacks and the French interventions in Mali and Central African Republic.

I ran the Asia editing desk in the evenings, assigning copy to be edited and editing many of the major stories. I was also sent on assignment to help cover breaking news, including the tsunami and nuclear crisis in Japan, an earthquake in Indonesia and terror attacks in Norway.

I edited copy coming in from the international bureaus.

I was responsible for assigning stories, editing content and helping to lay out two weekly local New Jersey newspapers. I also wrote features for this chain.

I compiled fixtures, such as "In Our Pages," translated op-eds from French to English and helped copy edit them.

While I was based in West Africa, I covered the largest Ebola outbreak the world has ever seen as well as all that is weird and wonderful about that region.
