I helped provide technical support to community banks belonging to Florida Bank Group, the holding company for several community bank subsidiaries across Florida including Florida Bank in Tampa, Sarasota, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee. I was also involved with server management (SharePoint, Exchange), network administration, group policy management, inventory, provisioning, and a host of other I.T. duties.

As the sole I.T. administrator (and entire I.T. department) for La-Z-Boy Tampa Bay, my responsibilities included network administration, daily backups, GERS & Windows desktop support and updates, anti-virus management, WSUS, consumer website maintenance, SQL reports, network maintenance, vendor management, all hardware/software/network upgrades, SharePoint administration, Exchange administration, SBS 2003 domain administration and social efforts including the management of & posting to company blogs. I was also the point of contact for all GERS-related issues, updates, and its general administration. Additionally, I hosted regular classes for new employees, training them on how to use La-Z-Boy's proprietary software, Microsoft Office, email, and the Web. During my years with La-Z-Boy, I spearheaded many projects including the initial setup of a networked domain, the migration from dumb terminals to thin clients and PCs, the implementation of a barcoded inventory management system for the warehouse, the introduction of computerized delivery routing technology, the implementation of SQL custom reporting and more. Some of the software used included: Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Pro, Windows 98, Windows Small Business Server 2003, Sharepoint Services, Exchange 2003, SAV Corporate Edition, GERS, MS Office 2000/XP/2003, OpenOffice, Furniture Link video catalog, Routeview, Fleet Maintenance Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe GoLive!, Lotus Approach, Esker SmarTerm, WinVNC Hardware used: SonicWall, Adtran, Cisco, Annex termservers, barcode scanners, inkjet/laser printers, digital cameras/card readers, PDAs, PCs, Neoware thin clients, switches/hubs
