Worked as a Software Development Manager in Tax org. I headed a team of 15+ Engineers which owned multiple micro-services responsible for generating invoices for all purchases that happen on Amazon (all countries). System is designed as a generic document generation platform and handles a lot of other non-tax document generation use cases as well. System is highly available with close to zero downtime and handles huge volume, generating 70M+ documents per day and runs on AWS. These micro-services also handle e-invoice generation (XML, JSON etc) and delivery. e-invoices are used for delivering invoices to the government and also for business customers. My responsibilities include reviewing/contributing to architecture on AWS, helping the team in solving difficult problems, working with product team on long term goals and people management.

I was 2nd employee at the start-up, we have grown the team size to 70+. I was responsible for ~50% of overall revenue, leading the biggest account of the company, handled a team of 30+ Engineers. I was lead architect of re-usable platforms including a "data sync engine" and a "highly configurable Form engine for Android". These platforms were used in financial products thereby needed high degree of reliability. Systems were deployed on-premise data centers.

Worked in a specialized team called "Men In Black" in the mobile applications division of Sony Ericsson. There were 30+ teams in Sony Ericsson managing different mobile applications, "Men in Black" was a specialized team which did not own any particular application but act as a guide to any team in need. This team was responsible for solving difficult problems like random crashes, hard to find memory leaks, performance optimizations like reducing battery consumption etc. Team was also responsible for setting guidelines to application teams to avoid frequent recurring issues and develop tools for faster turnaround of fixes.
