• Worked on a lightweight debug tool to analyze the performance of SSDs. The performance metrics analyzed in this tool are latency for read, write, and snapreads. • Worked on analyzing the captured trace files for different runs to identify the performance bottlenecks for sequential writes. • Worked on improving the QoS in case of random read workloads by optimizing the background activities. Improved the QoS for reads by atleast 12us as part of this project.

Worked as part of InstrumentStudio team as an application software developer which was located in Austin and Bangalore. The project involved creating interactive Soft Front Panels(SFPs) for NI PXI instruments (SMU, DMM, FGen and Scope) using C# and WPF technologies. Collaboratively worked with both the teams to complete the features with high quality. Contributed to the development of the majority of the features in SMU, DMM and FGen. Designed remote debug, device simulation, arb waveform mode, hardware start synchronization, pulsing for IS. Created and implemented architectures for some of the complex features (like device simulation, auto-monitor) which was leveraged across all the instrument panels. Learned the knack of choosing the right design pattern and data structure for the given design problem during this whole experience. Owned FGen SFP feature development for an entire release cycle - estimated user story points for features, projected release date, identified dependencies, implemented critical features, created test plan, provided inputs for prioritizing bugs, defined usability workflow Responsible for performance improvements and memory footprint. Improved the re-configure time in the app by 15x and avoided memory leaks due to data binding (saved closed to 400MB) Among the team, I reported the most number of bugs as well as fixed the most number of reported bugs.

Developed tools for performing custom transient response tuning, IV sweep, frequency response using NI SMUs Nominated for rookie of the year award for best performance in the first year of work.
