Leading a team of Cognitive experts for developing a unique solution for IBM and its clients. Leading a team of 5 SPSS experts for a SPSS Big Data project for client.

Telecom based Advanced Analytics (churn, cross-sell, fraud, etc.). Consulted using SAS and SPSS for Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics (using modeling techniques like decision trees, logistic regression, neural networks, C5.0, etc.).

This was a Rotation from my current role as IBM Consultant in Center of Competence to the new role of Software Engineer with IBM Research Labs. Worked on publications. Applied IBM analytics tools to work on a case study for Smarter Water management. Also supported Research Manager with Anomaly Detection for Telecom.

Lead, Portfolio Insights & Analysis. Won the pilot in Airline Optimisation. Lead, QA and Ad-hoc analysis. Managed a team of 3 analysts. Got one of them promoted after 6 months. QA: (1) Prepared automated QA tools for checking the data quality of key reports, each of which significantly reduces the time taken to perform QA. (2) My team won the award for Best innovation for year 2009. (3) Got my subordinate promoted. Development: (1) Analyzed credit limit decrease policy. (2) Analyzed authorization level data and accounted for delinquency behavior. Suggested performing of vintage analysis for calculating charge off rates. Challenged their method of calculating roll rates. Won the Request For Proposal. Maximized profit and minimized spillage loss. Logistics client: Presented scope of work to maximize yield and to minimize overbooking costs. Analyzed cargo claims data.

Analyzed ~9 billion records for Cash Advance transactions. Gave a presentation of my model that identifies correctly the population of Cash Advances, and the method to accurately evaluate fraud rate. Suggested ways to reduce fraud losses. Also handled Counterfeit fraud loss type and Business Card/Private Label portfolios. Utilized SAS/Oracle SQL. Used MS Visio to depict the flow of process and data. Analyzed and reported the results using MS Excel. Applied Proc SQL to calculate the total number of fraud accounts in the cash advance portfolio. Supported Audit team. Identified data anomalies that could potentially lead to fraud or material misstatements. Designed an efficient SAS code to retrieve the original SAS program from its SAS log. Networked our role to Audit. Mentored a new hire. Capital One: Product Strategy Dynamic Authorizations: Used Teradata SQL to facilitate re-invention of a key decision making framework. Declined over-the-limit transactions. Assessed the financial impact of a process improvement system on delinquent customers.

Declined over-the-limit transactions. Assessed the financial impact of a process improvement system on their delinquent customers.
