 Led a team of 50 members’ in-charge of Operation & Maintenance of Thermal Power Station & FCCU  Executed Purchasing for captive Power plant & Refinery Units - all stationery items like Boiler pressure parts, De-super heater bundles, pipes, valves, plates, safety valves, Bearings, mechanical seals, oil filters, air filters) and rotary equipment like multistage pumps, impellers, centrifugal compressors, Cooling tower fans, Steam Turbine spares, Couplings  Inventory Management – Set up inventory levels for spare part items & consumables based on annual consumption for all units of refinery and interchange ability factor leading to savings of 15% YOY basis.  Shutdown & Contract management – Procured material for Refinery Unit shut down based on inspection recommendation, Introduced new clauses in contracts for shutdown & Mobilisation of heavy equipment leading to savings of 10% YOY.

* Lead Regional Category team for Energy (Solid Fuels, Electricity, Gas) for APAC – India, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka & Australia for a spend of 750 Mn US * Develop the Regional strategy in cross functional team approach and regularly review the progress for its implementation and effectiveness * Achieved 60 Mn USD savings in 2015 by strategic sourcing with Volume Pooling, standardisation of specification, optimising supply chain, usage of bigger vessel, better route planning * Implement Electricity projects: Utility Bill Management, Demand Side Management, Open access buying, Contract demand Management to reduce the overall electricity cost
