Key Accomplishments: * Spearheaded/designed a total reconstruction of legacy applications to a modern day, AWS cloud native web based (and micro services based) architecture with automation at the forefront of development * Built a high performing team that was passionate about the mission and the work. In charge of the application development team which was responsible for several mission critical business systems. Created a team strategy to re-orient the team around organizational priorities. Pivoted from short term delivery of applications to long term strategic view of business delivery. Infused Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design principles, and automation (DevOps) into legacy/monolithic applications to reduce maintenance costs and increase flexibility. Re-organized the team to foster greater collaboration and aligned on systems design practices. Played a critical role in our Architecture Review Board (ARB) to bring about changes to TFA's enterprise architecture. Led the charge in securing our data, evolving from a traditional ETL based architecture to a modern event driven/messaged based architecture. Introduced re-usable identity and access based services throughout the enterprise to enable authentication and authorization services. Helped bring about consolidation of user data stores to help simplify overall architecture. Played an integral role in cultivating Agile (XP) / Scrum practices to enable efficient and effective product delivery. Part of a team that worked on several financial & regulatory based applications. Led the effort in modifying pricing changes for stock / bond trading. Part of a team that led the development of a regulatory web application that allowed reviewers to gather,and analyze data for on going investigations and regular audits of financial firms. Built in a rule based engine that allowed reviewers publish "exams" for a specific audit.
