About
I am a writer, collage artist, podcaster, and writing mentor, with a career that bridges creativity and experience in the financial sector. Born in Santos, Brazil, I have lived in Portugal and the United Kingdom and am currently based in São Paulo. For 12 years, I worked as an economist in national and international banks, leading teams and honing skills such as leadership, organization, strategic thinking, and creativity. In 2021, I published my first book of essays, Pra que varanda se a vista é feia? (2021), followed by Poemagem (2023), a work that combines poetry and collage. I also write the weekly newsletter Um Livro é uma Colagem, where I explore creative processes, literature, and cinema. In the podcasting world, I have created, produced, and hosted projects such as As Amigas Geniais and A Hora da Virada . A career highlight was producing and narrating Um Grande Dia para as Escritoras, a narrative podcast about the history and impact of Brazilian women writers. Currently, I co-host the Clube do Livro Curto podcast in partnership with Jornal Nota. My academic background includes a degree in Economics from UNICAMP, a Master’s in Innovation Economics from UFPR, and a Master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Coimbra. I also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at the MA in Creative Writing at the University of Roehampton in London. As a collage artist, I share my creations on Instagram (@sandramtca) and have exhibited my work, including a recent showcase at The Holy Art Gallery in London. Today, I work as a mentor for creative and narrative projects and lead creative writing workshops, helping people explore and develop their own stories.
