Responsible for the migration of complete lending portfolio to a new core banking system including Commercial Loans, Retail Loans, Syndicated Loans and Trade Finance products.  Took over ailing project, reworked business requirements and gap analysis.  Managed a team of 10 Business Analysts and technical staff.  Defined processes to extract and map data from the source to target system, front-end applications, data warehouse and National Bank registers.  Wrote reconciliation and validation reports for accounting purposes and produced full documentation to support audit trail.  Successfully migrated full lending portfolio with no down time and robust audit trail.

Responsible for aligning strategic IT solutions and governance across CEE, working with CIO’s, COO’s in the Vienna Head Office and in CEE Subsidiaries. Established initial concept and worked through to completion to ensure initiatives aligned between the Network Bank and Head Office Group level in terms of investment and risk. Key achievements include:  Defined the long-term IT transformation roadmap for the network bank in Bulgaria following a proposal to replace the core banking system.  Operated as Advisor to Executive Management for RB Russia, providing overview of CBS (Misys –BankFusion Midas) implementation.  Supported Group Board in terminating the Czech CBS project and recovery planning for the remaining projects: enabled both the CRM and DMS applications to be successfully implemented.  Advisor to Executive Management in Albania during the implementation of BankFusion Midas core banking system.

Originally responsible for the submission of Management Accounting information. Ensuring accurate information could be obtained from the information systems. Monitoring of existing products to ensure correct accounting within the system. Responsible for the set up of any new products within the system and the related accounting postings. Following the purchase of Creditanstalt Bank by Bank Austria role changed to Systems Accountant for the technical merger between Bank Austria and Creditanstalt Bank in London , working with the new system vendor in respect of analysis of business products between the 2 entities, static data set up, potential migration approach, preparation of data and design of reconciliation approach.

Initially recruited as assistant manager overseeing the daily duties of a team of 6 people including Management Accounts, Nostro Reconciliations, Statutory Reporting, Product Assessment and the necessary System logic required . This was expanded when the Bank decided to implement an new Core banking System IBIS ( Financial Objects) software when the role became Banks representative for the implementation of a new Core Banking system ensuring accounting requirements, business requirements were achieved. This included review of the requirements, assessment of the options and costs, establishing workarounds where necessary, training staff, data reconciliation.

* Standard Chartered Bank operated a career path program through which an incumbent was exposed to different operational and support departments to ensure a full working knowledge of corporate banking and the related back office processes. UGIS a wholly owned subsidiary of Unicredit Bank was the provider of both in-house and 3rd Party systems and applications for the Group. Responsibilities during this period included:- Leading the strategic analysis, development and subsequent implementation of a Group front-end retail lending application in Slovakia, managing both the business analysis team and the development team based across 3 locations; London, Budapest and Bratislava. Strategic analysis of a long running core banking system implementation in Moscow, definition of recovery measures and subsequent project management of the revised plans and proposals.
