Taught medical students the art of history taking, physical examination and management principles in Obstetrics during their clinical rotations in labor and delivery floors. Evaluated third and fourth year medical students at the end of their Obstetrics and Gynecology clinical rotations. Work closely with Obstetrics sub-interns by assigning patients to them and providing required level of supervision and procedural care to the intrapartum patients they manage.

Intensive Care Rotation with Dr. Raphael Ezeagu, a board certified intensivist at Ballad Health Johnson City Medical Center.

I work with Dr. Christopher R. Mitchell a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist to attend to Outpatient Obstetrics and Gynecology patients, managing a range of conditions- Routine antenatal care visits, interpretation of obstetrics/pelvic ultrasounds, discussion of results with patients, Uterovaginal prolapse, spontaneous abortions, PCOS, endometrial hyperplasia, menopause, etc. I am involved in history taking, physical examinations, and taking Pap smears for histological evaluations. AllScripts and EPIC used-I’m experienced and conversant with the use of these electronic health records.

Electronic Health Record- AllScripts Health Observed and discussed management of wide range of chronic medical conditions-Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, depression, obesity, trigger finger, autoimmune conditions like Sjogren Syndrome and Rheumatoid Arthritis, amongst others in a clinic setting. Patient interactions in the clinic during history taking and physical examinations. Assist in basic procedures like trigger points injections, Diabetes wound care, etc. Supervising Physician-Dr. Ronald Blackmore

I have been involved in 2 major musical concerts organized by this choir. I have also joined my choir to sing in concerts organized by other choirs.

First point of call doctor; diagnostician; patient work up; counselling; ordering and interpretation of lab results; institution of management protocols.

Participated in Pediatrics Practice under the direct supervision of Dr. Rasheed Gbadegesin, Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine. Participated actively in grand rounds, daily rounds and discussions with residents. Direct patient interaction in the clinics- history taking, physical examination, formulation of differential diagnoses and management plan.

Hands on clinical practice under the guidance of Dr. Jonas Garcia, internist/cardiologist in Jonas Garcia MD and Associates, Houston, Texas. History taking, physical examination, diagnosis, use of electronic medical records (AthenaHealth), performing electrocardiography and interpreting electrocardiogram, counselling patients on medication adherence and ensuring discharge summaries.

Analytical skills with MS Excel, SPSS, SAS. Writing skills- Prevalence and Predictors of HIV Testing amongst Women of Reproductive Age in Zimbabwe, Heart Disease Prevention Coalition Building Proposal, Tobacco Cessation Policy, Advocacy Plan amongst others.

I assisted in caesarean deliveries, vaginal deliveries, circumcisions, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, bilateral tubal ligation, performing obstetrics ultrasound, antepartum and postpartum care, managing high risk pregnancies such as pre-eclampsia, preterm premature rupture of membrane, multiple gestations, diabetes in pregnancy, preterm contractions. My roles included taking history and performing physical examination on obstetrics patients, triaging obstetrics emergencies, rounding on antepartum and postpartum patients every morning, presenting in morning round table discussions, presenting in Departmental Wednesday Seminar (I presented "Complications of Multiple Gestations" to the Obstetrics faculty). The sub-internship gave me a full hands-on clinical experience more than I ever had in a single rotation as a medical student. I used the opportunity to improve my suturing skills, communication and interpersonal skills and my obstetrics knowledge.
