Course: COMS 309 (Software Development Practices) The practices included software requirement specification (SRS), design documents, architecture diagrams, prototypes, and using sub-version systems such as SVN, CVS and GIT.

Performed analysis and classification of the existing intrusion detection and prevention systems such as Snort, Bro etc. and proxy web servers such as Squid and Apache2. - Skills acquired: Linux, Perl, MySQL, C++.

The app is to be used by corporate CFOs and facility planners/managers for facility and finance related decision making. * Analysis and processing of real estate data, blending of corporate confidential data with open source and social media data using data blending technologies. * Reverse Engineering Source code apps to remove security bugs and penetration testing. * Project management responsibilities, including project plans, and requirements and architecture documentation, team management.

* Reliability assessment and prediction for software * product lines * Applied data mining techniques to assess and predict quality and reliability of open-source and * industrial software product lines. * Co-ordinated with software engineers in Avaya Labs, Inc. to understand and gather the * requirements for reliability prediction in software product lines. * Gained experience of working with teams geographically distributed at multiple sites in US and * China. * Used decision-tree based classification techniques to identify defective files for Eclipse IDE * software product line.

* Responsibilities: Requirements analysis, Solution design, Implementation, Unit testing, Technical documentation * The Project Involved: * Development of a queryable and programmable graph-based static analysis framework (ATLAS) to identify malware within mobile applications. * Working with DARPA to develop a secure internal Android app store by determining the presence or absence of sophisticated malware in Android apps. * Identifying test scenarios to understand the stability of applications. * Creating documentation through technical reports, user manuals, and conference and journal publications.
