Created and expressed recombinant nematode protein to evaluate binding candidates for nematocidal use Techniques used: vector construction, plasmid transformation, protein production and purification, affinity chromatography, FPLC, protein characterization, Western Blot, PAGE gel electrophoresis, protein quantification, protein activity and colorimetric assays, and ELISA. Evaluate transgenic leads against nematodes on high throughput Tomato and Soybean transgenic hairy root pipelines. Techniques used: Agrobactrium-assisted transformation, tomato and soy hairy root tissue culture production and maintenance, nematode (RKN, SCN and Lesion) population use and maintenance, microscopy imaging, Acid Fushin stain, optimize pipeline conditions and output, generate and analyse data.

* Follow SOPs and GLP practices to analyze potency of drug samples for various drug projects. * Present R&D projects development and results to Bioassay group; amend SOPs if necessary. * Techniques used: Develop and troubleshoot ELISA protocols, HPLC, RT-PCR and UV to support the ARD as and when needed.
