Led all India integration of Amazon Logistics and 3rd party couriers like FedEx, Gati, Bluedart, etc- location wise sortation and bagging of packages with the outbound processes of Amazon Fulfilment Centers. Designed/improved and ensured implementation of the processes based on Lean principles of value-add, value stream, flow(CONWIP, conveyor), pull, levelling (dock door utilization and scheduling) - without preaching even a single jargon.(yes that's possible) Resulting in simultaneous and significant improvement in LEAD TIME / OTIF(Critical Pull Time in Amazon terms), THROUGHPUT (number of packages out bounded/inbounded through the same infrastructure), PRODUCTIVITY / COST (packages processed per associate), QUALITY (reducing missorts through poka-yoke). Thoroughly enjoyed leading this intense but massive change, which was possible only because of Amazon's Speed of execution!

Did a project on “Computation of Accurate Distance function using marching methods.” Developed a user defined function (in C language) for FLUENT software. Useful in study of near wall phenomenon in thermo hydraulic processes.

* Achievements: * Helped a client reduce downtime through systematic RCA and CAPA implementation for a chronic breakdown at client's ship yard crane operations. Savings to the tune 3% of the operating cost realized by the client, by preventing penalty for stationing ships more than the assigned time. * Helped a client in implementing a system for estimating, monitoring and improving COPQ.

* MFP Michelin, Blavozy, France * Quality Guarantee Manager (July 2011 - July 2012) * Key responsibilities: * Provide quality assurance on products and processes within the factory. * Manage a team of quality inspectors, define and revise sampling plans, conduct quality system audits, keep track of product and process quality issues, and approve deviation from quality standards. * Facilitate brainstorming sessions and manage cross functional teams on product and process quality improvement, using appropriate methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, DMAIC, etc, depending on the complexity of the problem. Take part in quality planning, conduct PFMEA, and approve new products production process. * Achievements: * Lead a cross functional improvement team, in introducing an error proofing (poka yoke) system to prevent mix-up of material loaded at the tyre assembly units, by using wireless scanners in the existing material tracking system.

I am responsible for driving ITC’s stationery products business’ process improvement initiatives. I head a team involved in Quality Control, Lab tests, process improvement, internal audits, and supplier evaluation activities. I lead/facilitate cross functional teams for strategic/ systems change initiatives.
