Organization’s Mission America SCORES Seattle (SCORES) inspires at-risk youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have confidence and character to make a difference in the world. We envision a world where all youth find their voices, achieve their goals, and unleash their full potential. We seek these goals with a unique approach. SCORES partners with high-need elementary schools to provide a high quality, team-based program that integrates soccer, poetry and service-learning. Our innovative approach improves students' health, academic achievement and civic engagement. About the Position: The Executive Director is responsible for the entire operation and success of SCORES. From fundraising, to school and community engagement, to staff management and growth, the ED is the heartbeat of the organization. Working closely with an engaged and supportive Board of Directors, the goals are to significantly expand the fundraising network and reach of the program beyond the current schools, and to ensure a successfully delivered program in each of our existing schools.

Executive Director Company Name Camp Solomon Schechter Dates Employed Mar 2008 – Present Employment Duration 9 yrs 6 mos Location Tumwater WA Sam managed 10 Core staff and 70 seasonal staff, and a year round facility. He created curricula and programs for constituents of all ages He is an expert fundraiser and recruiter. Sam mobilized community volunteers, and can easily articulate the mission of camp. His vision for the future led to a successful capital campaign and new facilities. Sam is a hard worker and friend to all!

Sam hired and supervised 7 PE teachers and over 30 coaches each year. Managed a budget and wrote curriculum. Facility rental acquisition and public representative duties were paramount. Sam lead at SAAS through a time of great change and growth and his work was pivotal in the overall success of the school.
