Experience

Bat Out of Hell | Video Crew
Work Experience
268-269 Tottenham Court Rd, Fitzrovia, London W1T 7AQ
Worked under the direction of Video Engineer and Crew Chief, James Craxton assisting him and the video crew during the de-rig of the production of “Bat Out Of Hell” at the Dominion Theatre. I was assisting the video team to remove all of the video equipment from the theatre, helping to de-rig the 4 x Panasonic PT-RZ31K laser projectors off their frames and into the flight cases and load everything onto the trucks.

Cable QC | Warehouse technician
3-4 Downland Cl, London N20 9LB
I primarily worked in the cable department; I would unload the cable from returning jobs and sort out into the various cable types. This would involve de-looming the specific looms from the past jobs and arranging them into the correct area in the storage stillages. On the outward side, I would pull the cable from the storage areas, test and pack into flight cases for shipping. I also instructed the local stage crew who came in to help our department out at busy times. I enjoyed working in the cable bay coiling, organizing and neatly putting the cables away. I also worked in the inbound and outbound departments, in the inbound area I was helping to scan in the equipment that had returned from rental jobs, and then store the equipment in the correct location within the warehouse. At the outbound area I was given a job sheet with the various items required for that particular order which had to be scanned along with the barcodes, and once all of the order was processed on the computer booking system and complete, I would print out the job sheet and attached the paperwork to the equipment ready to go onto the delivery truck. In the lighting quality control department, I learnt to clean, prep and test the various lights in the inventory. Once tested and labeled these were then stored in specific flight cases ready to be shipped onto the next job.

Worked under the direction of Video Engineer and Crew Chief, James Craxton assisting him and the video crew during the fit-up of the production of “Bat Out Of Hell” at the Dominion Theatre. During this time I learned a lot about the system from the distribution racks to the d3 Disguise media servers and the new Panasonic PT-RZ31K laser projectors which used Notch software to feed live camera footage through to apply real-time effects all controlled from a GrandMA2 console.
