Grew DGG revenue by >$500M, increased operating margin by more than 3% to >22%, doubled China revenue, and tripled digital revenue. Grew therapeutics oligo CDMO revenue at a 25%+ CAGR to ~$300M, Strengthened Cancer Dx franchise by expanding customer base to >2,000 Dx testing labs and expanding regulatory approval of Dx tests to >88 countries.

Responsible for leading Agilent’s growth strategy and managing corporate level partnerships, equity investments and global mergers and acquisitions. Key advisor to the CEO and executive team.

Responsible for leading the overall Marketing function for Illumina including Product Management (NGS systems, core consumables, sample preparation), Clinical Marketing, and Corporate Marketing (Brand, Marketing Programs, Digital Experience, Public Relations & Social Media, Market Insights & Strategy, Marketing Ops & Analytics). Along with a talented team, defined multi-year sequencing platform road-map and successfully launched several sequencing systems and consumables to drive market defining growth.

Responsible for business unit P&L and leadership of strategy, marketing, R&D and operations for company’s qPCR / TaqMan franchise including all genomic assays and next generation qPCR instruments & solutions. Led sizable profitable growth in consumables, instruments and software by launching a focused stream of new products, modifying selling channels and leveraging IP.

Defined multi-year company strategy. Added the ‘right’ level of structure and process to a culture of high innovation and minimal planning to enable sustainable growth.
