Our project Micellaway focuses on tackling freshwater oil pollution, specifically addressing the contamination of rivers by Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs). Leveraging synthetic biology, we developed Pseudomonas vancouverensis strains to degrade key PAHs and optimized bacterial immobilization strategies, aiming to provide an innovative, sustainable solution for bioremediation in complex aquatic environments.
