About
I am a junior in mechanical and biomedical engineering looking for a summer 2016 internship. Since working on artificial lungs in a biomedical engineering laboratory, I am most interested in being a part of a research and development team at a medical device company. Research and development is a way for me to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives as well as hear the ideas of those with a different background from myself. My own background of mechanical engineering coursework and biomedical engineering research experience has prepared me to analyze, design, and test medical devices. A mechanical engineering background to my biomedical engineering degree also enables me to focus on the relevant details of a design and bring a new perspective to a research team while still understanding the biological system involved.
