As the Assistant Manager of Loss Prevention, my responsibilities ranged from training associates to interact with customers so as to promote awareness to communicating with other manager's about potential concerns, whether external or internal.

Worked in conjunction with other departments to provide efficient customer service while maintaining the cleanliness of my assigned areas.

I taught 11th and 12th grade English: two sections of 11th grade Honors English, two sections of 12th grade Theology, Philosophy, and Moral Lessons in Literature (an elective course), and one section of Writing for College (until February) and Journalism (from February to June).

As required through the Practicum course for Initial licensure in secondary education, I taught 9/10 grade English at Community Academy, an alternative high school.

Developed and taught, for two semesters, a course syllabus that addressed the following capabilities: focused on developing critical thinking, reading, and writing skills through engagement with both academic texts and nonacademic texts (such as images, media clips, et cetera, that the students bring in themselves), explored various writing processes that ranged from glossing texts to revision of the student’s written work, and encouraged students to incorporate their own perspectives in both their written work and the classroom dynamics in order to promote an all-inclusive environment around students’ interests, et cetera.

Maintained cleanliness of assigned areas, provided consistent customer service both in-store and via phone, and exercised true product knowledge in terms of knowing where to find a particular item and how the product fit.

I am teaching 11th grade American Literature for both college and honors level students, as well as a Journalism class. I am also the Yearbook Advisor.

I am teaching 9th grade advanced honors and college level English, as well as a Reading Workshop course.
