Progressing from Publicity Rep to President of my society, I have been involved in many roles, including communicating with society members through social media, as well as branding and marketing for recruitment of new members. As President, I have overseen my committee, planned and organised events, and continued to add value to my society.

A two day residential based on developing personal and professional skills. In this I focused on Assurance, as well as Technology and Commercial Awareness.

During my time at Iceland, I gained many essential skills, the most prominent of which being teamwork. My dedication, and in particular customer service and communication skills, led to me receiving employee of the year after only a few months of working there. The versatility of this role meant that I willingly encountered and solved new challenges every day, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Working at simply fresh gave me valuable experience as I had many senior responsibilities there, such as training new members of staff. It also taught me the importance of organising my time effectively between studies and work.

Liaising between peers and lecturers for my course to make sure that all of the students complaints, suggestions, and general feedback is represented fairly.

The course focuses on the area of overlap between the traditional disciplines of chemistry and physics. The course emphasises molecular and solid-state physics, quantum mechanics and spectroscopy, and the more quantitative aspects of chemistry.
