Sam Haywood

I started my apprenticeship in January 2006. I was 15 at the time and qualified just after my 18th birthday. I done my apprenticeship with my father and grandfather so have learnt the importance of old school quality and attitude. In 2009 I started in commercial carpentry. I worked for Northwest commercial industries for 6.5 years and had the opportunities to work on some of their high end carpentry projects. I then worked for Brighton Qld for 12 months on the Grand Central shopping centre in Toowoomba. From there I went to Total Construction as a site foreman on their Churches of Christ project in Warwick Qld. I learnt a great deal in this role. From the end of that project to now I have been self employed and started my own Carpentry contracting company. In that time I have also completed a Masterbuilders Cert 4 in low rise building and have obtained my low rise supervisor licences and nominee supervisors licence.
