Salim Ramji

As Vanguard’s chief executive officer, I have the privilege of serving our more than 50 million clients around the globe, helping to give them the best chance for investment success. Before joining Vanguard, I spent more than 25 years in a variety of leadership roles in investments, capital markets, and wealth management and have a track record of reinventing and growing businesses by fostering teamwork, applying technology and maintaining a clear sense of purpose. I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto and a law degree from Cambridge University, and I am a CFA charterholder. As the first generation in my family to attend university, I am deeply committed to enhancing educational access and serve as a trustee of Graham Windham, which provides educational support for children in New York. I am also a member of the international leadership council for the University of Toronto.
