Seenu Akunuri

As a Valuation professional, Seenu has built a solid reputation as the “go-to person” that can solve complex valuation issues around mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other domestic, global and cross-border transactions. Utilizing his 25 years of worldwide business valuation experience and his current position as Principal at the firm, Seenu consults with both audit and non-audit clients on valuation trends, hot topics and industry issues. Interfacing with many cultures, Seenu builds collaborative teams and inspires others with his easy going demeanor. Clients value his personalized approach to each engagement and call upon him to advise on the most complex valuation issues around transactions in the energy and mining industries. As one of PwC’s valuation specialists, Seenu has presented and published thought leadership topics impacting the energy industry. He was a contributing author to the valuation chapter of Professional Development Institute and PwC’s Petroleum Accounting textbook. Seenu has his MBA from Tulane University with a concentration in Finance and Accounting. Born and raised in India, his native tongue is Telugu while he is also fluent in Hindi. Whether at work, home or in the community, Seenu brings his passion to everything he does. He has volunteered his time at various non-profit organizations involved in the arts, culture, education, health and ending hunger. He enjoys spending time with his talented wife, Sarada, whose singing is enjoyed here and abroad. They both share fun times with their two children. Seenu is a voracious reader and besides reading about accounting, finance and economics, he also reads other non-fiction as well as fiction. One of his favorite authors is Vince Flynn, who was also a story consultant for one of his all time favorite television shows, “24.” Seenu is also proud of his autographed book, “The Hunt for Red October” by Tom Clancy, another favorite author.
