 Represents area purchasing for purchase of Spares, Services and Consumables as per user requirement.  To develop the area-purchasing intranet to meet the customers (internal) needs in cost effective way with timely manner.  To develop area purchasing network with suppliers in transparent and efficient way.  To involve & represents the region in relevant material categories within the GLB team to ensure best possible items with best possible price.  To coordinate with commercial department for LC activities for purchasing foreign items.  To evaluate negotiation and finalize agreements with potential regional suppliers.  Inventory management and control in cost effective way.

 Study and prepare tender documents  Collect Price offer with proper technical specification  Clarification and negotiation on pricing  Sign contract for procurement and follow up if there is any further clarification required  Check all the received machinery/ equipment in shipyard  Co-ordinate and exchange all necessary information with the supplier, production department, design department, commercial department and quality control department  Prepare Status Report on Procurement Program and update all documents related to procurement activities
