Saher Hegazy
Demand Supply Planning Manager @ Al-Dawaa Medical Services Co.
About
Good planning is often invisible when it works: people get what they need, teams have options, and decisions happen before shortages turn into crises.I started my career in pharmacy, close to patients and daily operations. That shaped how I think about supply chains. For me, planning is not only a technical exercise in inventory, cost, or forecasts; it is a way to protect availability, trust, and execution under uncertainty.Over the last 10+ years, I moved from front-line pharmacy operations into demand and supply planning, S&OP, distribution networks, lifecycle planning, supplier coordination, and omni-channel fulfillment in Saudi Arabia. At Al-Dawaa Medical Services, I worked across a network of 9 distribution centers and about 1,000 pharmacies, progressing into planning roles that connected commercial priorities, operations, suppliers, data, and service levels. Some of the work I am proud of includes contributing to company wide digital transformation & Supply Chain Network remodeling , supporting a national infant-formula access program serving 40,000+ beneficiaries, improving supplier availability and delivery performance through cross-functional recovery work, replacing ad-hoc inter-DC transfers with forecast-driven DRP, and supporting ship-from-store fulfillment by linking store buffers to ATP logic.I am now completing the MIT-Zaragoza / ZLC Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, part of the MIT Global SCALE Network. My current focus is deepening how I use scenario planning, simulation, KPI trade-offs, and decision-support thinking to understand complex supply networks.I am drawn to work where good planning matters: uncertainty, service, resilience, stakeholder alignment, and decisions that improve how systems actually perform.

Demand Supply Planning Manager
Al Khobar
Managed planning for a high-sensitivity consumer portfolio across 9 distribution centers and about 1,000 pharmacies, connecting demand, supply, lifecycle decisions, supplier readiness, and store-level availability. This role sat close to the point where planning quality becomes visible: service, trust, and execution under uncertainty. - Turned a 40,000+ beneficiary database into bottom-up forecasts, allocation logic, and exception-based fulfillment for a national infant-formula access program; managed a 1,400% sales surge without service failure. - Improved supplier fill rate 10-15%, on-time delivery 20%, and warehouse availability 12% by helping structure inbound recovery with Operations, Procurement, and suppliers. - Planned an 8-month DC transition covering 70% of portfolio volume, limiting on-shelf availability decline to <3%. - Co-developed outbound SOPs and KPI dashboards with Operations; OTIF improved 11%. - Co-developed a simulation-based space-to-assortment model across 600+ stores; a 300-store pilot reduced dedicated shelf space 30% without sales loss.

Senior Demand & Supply Planner
Saudi Arabia
Led demand and supply planning across about 1,000 stores and multiple DCs, with work spanning replenishment logic, seasonal planning, product launches, supplier coordination, and store-level availability. The role strengthened my ability to translate demand signals, operational constraints, and service expectations into practical planning decisions. - Built a 53-store multi-echelon buffer network for prescription infant-formula SKUs using clustering logic, clinic-proximity overlays, exception workflows, and supplier synchronization. - Stabilized availability for 40,000+ pediatric beneficiaries and grew average monthly sales 300% without broad inventory inflation. - Planned seasonal inventory builds and NPI seeding using lifecycle stage, cannibalization risk, and sales curves; delivered 44% seasonal sales uplift and reduced NPI launch delays 80%. - Calibrated replenishment parameters around volatility, lead time, store capacity, SKU velocity, and safety stock.

Senior Supply Chain Specialist
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Led planning for imported and critical SKUs across a 9-DC network during a period of demand volatility, supplier disruption, and operational pressure. The work required practical scenario thinking: what to prioritize, where to position stock, and how to keep stakeholders aligned when conditions changed quickly. - Replaced ad-hoc inter-DC transfers with forecast-driven DRP using seasonality curves, DC demand profiles, and lead-time offsets. - Reduced inter-DC line-haul cost 18%, improved peak-season SKU availability 10%, and balanced inventory within +/-5% days of coverage across the DC network. - Acted as central planning lead for the COVID-19 supply-chain response, coordinating stock coverage, supplier prioritization, dashboards, and stakeholder updates. - Maintained 95%+ availability for 600+ critical SKUs across about 1,000 stores.

Supply Chain Specialist
Hawtat Sudair
Supported the foundations of a more structured planning and logistics network: demand and supply planning setup, warehouse migration, SAP rollout, network redesign, and omni-channel enablement. This was the role where I moved from local operations into system-level supply-chain transformation. - Supported migration to a 130,000 m2 primary distribution center and redesign of a 13-DC national network while maintaining pharmacy supply continuity. - Acted as SAP WM/EWM key user during rollout, supporting solution validation, testing, troubleshooting, master data, and colleague training. - Supported SKU allocation modeling using ABC-XYZ logic and Excel-based tools; transition outcomes included 99% inventory accuracy, 99.95% pick precision, 120K+ daily order lines, and <3% availability disruption. - Helped launch a ship-from-store pilot by connecting high-density pharmacies to web ATP and adapting replenishment parameters.

Pharmacist
Al Khobar
Built a front-line healthcare operations foundation before moving into supply chain. This role shaped how I think about availability, accuracy, service, and trust: the operational details that look small until they affect a patient or customer. - Managed dispensing, patient counseling, pharmacy inventory, ordering, ERP usage, financial operations, ISO 9001 compliance, and daily service quality. - Used ERP and store-level controls to support availability, ordering, and reporting. - Contributed to cosmetics cross-selling and POS integration work. - Delivered 34% sales growth in 2016, 28% growth in 2017, and performance rating above 90%.

Pharmaceutical Experience(Community&Hospital Pharmacist•Pharmacy Manager)
Governmental & Private Sector
Etay El Baroud
Held early clinical and community pharmacy roles across Egypt and Saudi Arabia, building the patient-facing judgment, operational discipline, and communication habits that later shaped my planning work. - Completed obligatory military service as a combat medic in the Medical Services branch. - Founded and managed a community pharmacy. - Co-founded a hospital-based Drug Information Center supporting physicians with therapeutic guidance, evidence-informed protocols, and clinical decision tools.
