My name is Sahana Ravikumar, I am a CS Graduate Student from The University of Texas, Arlington, majored in Software Engineering and Databases. I started my career with Adobe Systems as an Associate Consultant. At that point, I developed interest and gained experience in various stages of SDLC. I was involved in the web application development using the CMS product, Adobe Experience Manager. As a fresher, I was introduced to the work culture in IT industry and various aspects of Agile SDLC. The experience helped me identify my areas of interest as Software Engineering. A strong desire to gain in-depth knowledge inspired me to pursue Masters in CSE. I gained academic experience in various technologies like Java, Python and cloud servers such as AWS, Google App Engine. At, The UTA Research Institute, I researched on MATLAB Visualization tools. I submitted a PoC for application GUI development using Python - PyQt and wxGlade. I refactored and optimized the Arduino C program to increase controller efficiency. While I was with Ayoka as an Application Developer, my responsibilities included object-oriented server-side programming. Currently, I am a Software Developer at Deccan International. Deccan International is the company in the US which provide optimal solutions for both strategic and real-time deployment planning, focused on improving security and responsiveness in public safety operations.
