Sahan Senavirathna

I am a Research Trial Officer – Innovation at Oasia by Silal, UAE, with a strong foundation in agriculture through a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern University, Sri Lanka, and advanced expertise from a Master’s program at Rajarata University. I bring specialized experience in hydroponics, berry cultivation, and controlled environment agriculture (CEA and TCEA). In my current role, I design and execute innovative research trials to evaluate sustainable and climate-resilient farming methods, particularly suited to arid and challenging environments. I collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and test solutions that enhance crop productivity, optimize resource use, and support ecological balance. My career is driven by a deep commitment to sustainable agriculture and land restoration, focusing on addressing global food security challenges through innovation. My core strengths include designing and managing hydroponic systems, optimizing berry production under controlled environments, integrating smart farming technologies, and translating research insights into practical, scalable solutions for modern agriculture.
