About
I'm a linguist with experience turning research into clear, actionable insights that improve how people access, understand, and use information. Through roles with the City of Edmonton, Alberta Education, and the University of Alberta, I've applied qualitative and quantitative research methods to evaluate user experiences, analyze complex datasets, and communicate evidence that supports better decisions. My work has involved conducting interviews, synthesizing stakeholder feedback, identifying patterns across qualitative and quantitative data, and translating research findings into reports, guidance documents, templates, and user-facing resources. I enjoy making complex information easier to understand and ensuring that research leads to practical improvements for the people it's intended to serve. My background in linguistics and library and information services has given me a strong understanding of how people interpret language, navigate systems, and seek information. Whether I'm evaluating communication materials, supporting policy and program development, or improving user experiences, I focus on delivering research that is accurate, accessible, and useful.I'm always interested in opportunities where research, communication, and user-centered thinking come together to solve meaningful problems. Feel free to connect with me or send me a message if you'd like to discuss research, user experience, or opportunities to collaborate.View my UX research portfolio in the Featured section.

French Language and Literature
I was chosen as the "Distinguished Student" by the Office of Exceptional Talents and Honored Students. I had the first GPA among my other classmates. So, I had the opportunity to study a master's program (French Literature or French translation at Shahid Beheshti University) without participating in the national entrance exam of universities.

Linguistics
My research studies how prosody and syntax interact in marking focus Persian. I am studying acoustic correlates of prosodic focus marking in different syntactic structures (clefts and non-canonical structure). In Regarding perception, my research will expand on which acoustic correlates help native Persian speakers to encode focus location (contrastive subject focus, contrastive object focus, and broad focus) in utterances.
